The Draft Community PlanFinal Draft Community PlanThe final draft TOOWOOMBA 2050 Community Plan comprises two parts: - The vision for Toowoomba city and the associated goals and preferred future outcomes form the first part of the Community Plan. - The initial strategies and actions designed to facilitate achievement of the vision are described in the the draft Action Plan. Further work is required to develop the draft Action Plan content, primarily in consultation with organisations who may play a key role in project delivery in partnership with council. As a consequence of Local Government Reform implications, it is intended that the Community Plan will also be referred to the new Toowoomba Regional Council for consideration, finalisation and subsequent implementation. An official handover of the final draft Community Plan will be made to the Interim Chief Executive Officer of the new Toowoomba Regional Council, on 25 February 2008. Initial Draft Community PlanThe initial draft TOOWOOMBA 2050 Community Plan was released on 15 September 2007. It represented the thoughts and ideas of those community members and other interested parties that contributed to the process to that date. The document was a draft work-in-progress that reflected the outcomes from the initial phase of the TOOWOOMBA 2050 community planning project.
